ALL THE ROADS END TO HIM
VERSE NO.42-49
All things and affairs will eventually have to return to God. Therefore, we should put our hope and trust in Him, and fear no one except Him, in whose hand is our life and death. Even our sorrow and happiness comes from Allah, and it is He who makes to laugh and makes to weep.
He has made us spouses, male and female, in order to soothe in distress and depression, and to console us in the arms of our consorts. And so is the case with all other moving creatures: The ending of the passage is:-
``And that He is the Lord of Sirius.''
Sirius is a white, first-magnitude, and the brightest of stars that flickers in the sky. The star was worshipped by the early Egyptians and also by the Pagan Arabs.
Sirius is also called the Dog Star. Its distance from the sun is nine light years. Although in the southern constellation CANIS MAJOR, Sirius is vesible from all parts of the earth. The temperature at its surface has been estimated to be 120 thousand degree in centigrade scale; where as that of the sun is some 6500 degree centigrade. Its density is fifty thousand times heavier than water in a unit volume. It is 20 times larger than the sun in volume.
It is remarkable that, at the beginning of the SUREH, Allah has sworn by the star when it sets or vanishes. If the star was a god worthy of worship, it would never set, vanish, or even change. It owed all its grandeur to the sublimity of its creator.
